According to the NYPD, the incident occurred at 12:01 a.m. on October 15th, when a 22-year-old woman was entering her building on Evergreen Avenue in Bushwick: "[S]he was approached from behind by the suspect who was armed with a kitchen knife. The suspect then forced the victim to the fourth floor landing where he removed her pocketbook and forced her to commit a criminal sex act on him."

The suspect fled, and the victim was taken for treatment at a local hospital.
