A woman riding as a passenger on a motorcycle died after a crash on the Grand Central Parkway this morning.

Police say they responded to a 911 call about a vehicle accident on the parkway at 4:27 a.m. They found a 20-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man with body trauma; the woman was pronounced dead at Elmhurst General Hospital while the male victim had injuries to his shoulder and legs.

It's believed the man was operating the motorcycle when it lost control before the 94th Street exit, near LaGuardia Airport. Police are still investigating the crash, and traffic is backed up for miles.
