A woman was sexually abused in an upper Manhattan park earlier this week, and police are still looking for a suspect.

According to the NYPD, at 7:40 p.m. on May 26th, a 38-year-old woman was walking on a path between West 120th and 123rd Streets in Morningside Park "when the suspect approached her from behind, lifted up her skirt and exposed himself. The victim then swung at him causing him to flee to unknown parts inside the park."

2015_05_mheights.jpgPolice released a sketch of the suspect, who is described as approximately 18-25 years-old, 6'0" tall, 180 pounds, light complexion, hazel eyes, and a slender build, last seen wearing a white t-shirt, white sneakers and gray sweat pants.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
