The exceedingly pleasant weather continues! Despite a weak back door cold front sneaking through the city last night, mild and dry weather will stick around into early next week. An easterly wind will keep today cooler than yesterday but not uncomfortably so. Look for the high to reach the mid 60s this afternoon. Tomorrow's weather is going to be much like today's only better as the afternoon high should reach the upper 60s. That's much better than the nor'easter that brought snow to the city on May 3-4, 1812.

A ridge in the jet stream above a high pressure system on the ground means continued clear skies for Sunday and Monday. That atmospheric teamwork is still preventing a strong storm from leaving the Midwest, bringing snow to Iowa and Minnesota and the likelihood of a very wet and thundery Kentucky Derby tomorrow. Around here the weekend temperatures are expected to remain in the mid 60s during the day and drop to the upper 40s at night. The next chance for a cloudy day apears to be Tuesday, and the next chance of rain will be Wednesday at the earliest.
