Police are looking for a Bronx cell phone bandit who has been mostly targeting young women over the last three weeks. At least seven women, six of whom are between the ages of 16 and 27, have been robbed by the perp since August 27th. Check out surveillance video of the suspect attacking a woman in the lobby of her building below:
In each of the incidents, police say the suspect followed the victims into their apartment building in the Bedford Park section of the Bronx, grabbed them from behind and forcibly removed their property. The attacks have happened in broad daylight and at night; the suspect is described as "strong and fast, but not quick enough to elude surveillance cameras." Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
