Police say that a woman was sexually assaulted early yesterday in Bed-Stuy. Surveillance footage and photos of the suspect were released in hopes the public can help identify him.

According to the NYPD, the male suspected followed a 22-year-old victim who was walking on the sidewalk around 1 a.m. on Saturday. He allegedly pulled her between two cars, threatened her with a gun, and sexually abused her. He then fled the scene. The victim was treated at an area hospital.

The suspect is described as being in his early 30s, 5'10" tall and 160 pounds; he was wearing an Adidas t-shirt. Anyone with information in regards to this sexual abuse is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
