The woman killed Sunday when the car she was riding in flipped over into a marsh near JFK Airport was the mother of a 7-month-old, and family members say she was an aspiring actress.

Dominique Jamison, 25, had graduated from York College with a degree in theater, and lived in Queens with her 7-month-old daughter, Journee. She was working to become an actress in the city, and had profiles on several acting and modeling sites. "She was like a shining star, like she stood out from everybody in the neighborhood," her older brother, Darrell Jamison, told CBS. Jamison spent Saturday night at a family party in Jamaica, and met up with friends after. One of those friends was Denise Finley, 32, the driver of the 2000 Ford Focus that flipped into a freezing cold marsh on Brookville Boulevard at around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Finley and four other passengers are reported to have survived the crash. First responders rescued four passengers including Jamison, who later died at a nearby hospital, and two others are believed to have walked away from the scene.

Finley was arrested yesterday and charged with driving while intoxicated and without a license, in addition to vehicular manslaughter; cops say she told them she had a cup of vodka and cranberry juice before getting behind the wheel. Jamison's mother, Lenay Jamison, told CBS: "She left behind a 7-month-old daughter because somebody wanted to be drunk and high and stupid." Finley is currently being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
