A 36-year-old man, believed to be a USPS worker, was fatally stabbed in Harlem on Thursday afternoon, police said.

The victim was discovered with multiple stab wounds outside 168 Lenox Ave. at approximately 2:30 p.m., according to authorities.

Emergency responders rushed the man to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, where he was pronounced dead, officials said.

There have been no arrests and an investigation remains ongoing, police said.

Police said the victim’s identity has not yet been released pending family notification, but initial reports suggest he was employed by the United States Postal Service. Investigators were working to determine the circumstances surrounding the stabbing and whether the attack was targeted, officials said.

The incident comes just hours after an MTA worker was stabbed twice in the armpit after a verbal dispute in the mezzanine of the Pelham Park subway station in the Bronx Thursday morning, according to NYPD officials.

Correction: A previous version of this story misstated the day on which the incident occurred. It was on Thursday, Jan. 2.
