Investigators are searching for a man who assaulted and shouted homophobic slurs at two men walking in Midtown early in the morning on April 12th.
The two victims, ages 27 and 32, were walking near the corner of Broadway and West 48th Street at 2:30 a.m. when the suspect approached. According to police, he shouted "slurs regarding their sexual orientation" before assaulting them.
The suspect fled the scene and when police responded, both victims refused medical attention. An NYPD spokesman did not have further details on the nature of the assault.
There were multiple anti-gay assaults in the area last year.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
