Police released a surveillance photo of three individuals wanted for questioning about a fatal shooting that occurred in Brooklyn on Saturday afternoon.
According to the NYPD, on March 21 at 3:56 p.m., officers responded to a call about a male who was shot in front of 952 Flatbush Avenue. Donel Andrew, 18, was found with a gunshot wound to the torso. Andrew died at Kings County Hospital.
The NY Times noted, "Mr. Andrew was shot across the street from a McDonald’s where a fight between members of a gang known as the Young Savages took place. Video of the brawl spread rapidly on social media and helped law enforcement identify and arrest several of the young women involved in the fight." A few hours later, also in Flatbush, a 1-year-old baby was grazed by a bullet as a shooter apparently missed his target.
The police would like to speak to the three seen in the photo. Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
