Three men were killed in shootings in East New York, Fort Greene and Williamsbridge yesterday. The Daily News notes yesterday marked the end "of a three-week murder-free stretch in north Brooklyn."
At 9:12 a.m., police say they responded to a call at 387 Bradford Street in Brooklyn and found a 23-year-old man who was shot in the head. The victim, Demetrius Graham, was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the News, he was "found.. by his girlfriend in the bedroom of her apartment."
Then, at 2 p.m., a Kevin Colon, 20, was shot in the stomach at 101 North Portland Avenue, in the Whitman Houses. Colon was pronounced dead at Brooklyn Hospital.
And at around 3:21 p.m., police say they responded to a 911 call about a man "slumped over in his car in front of 1023 East 217 Street" in the Bronx. They found Paul Dwyer, 44, "behind the wheel of a grey Honda Pilot unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the torso." Dwyer was pronounced dead at Montefiore Hospital.
No arrests have been made in any of the deaths, and the investigations are continuing.
