An 18-year-old crossing an intersection in Queens died after being struck by an MTA bus on Monday night, according to police.

Authorities found Queens resident Saad Mohammed lying on a roadway in Jamaica around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, with trauma to the head and body. He was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said Tuesday.

Investigators said the teenager was riding along 89th Avenue on a NIU Stand-Up Kick Scooter when he ran a red light at 168th Street, where he was struck by a Q20 bus, police said Tuesday.

There were no passengers onboard the bus, according to authorities. The 33-year-old driver, who was not injured and remained on the scene, is not facing any charges.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
