The clear skies we were looking forward to during the day yesterday finally arrived after midnight and departed around sunrise. Sigh. The sun will make a few brief appearances today but is going into hiding again tomorrow as a cold front begins to push this stubborn high pressure system out to sea.

While today's high will only be in the low 60s, things should warm up a bit tomorrow as the winds starts blowing out of the southeast. Look for a Saturday high around in the lower 70s. It won't be much of an outside day as rain will begin to arrive late tonight and is almost a certainty for much of tomorrow. Some of that rain may be heavy as showers and thunderstorms are possible from tomorrow afternoon until late Saturday night.

The air mass behind this front looks very dry and seasonable, meaning the Atlantic Antic and Pickle Day festivities will take place under sunny, warm skies. Look for a high on Sunday in the lower 70s. The pleasant weather should continue until at least next Tuesday.
