Man, Occupy Wall Street is really going after the youth! Say you're a parent, not quite ready to sign off on a Camp Zuccotti kids sleepover, but you still want Sally to vive la revolution firsthand. No problem! Schools across the city are taking field trips to OWS, where your precious can learn about pepper spray under the watchful eye of a trained educator.

"We are studying the American civil rights movement and this seemed very apropos," said Danielle Morrison, a teacher at the Community Roots charter school in Fort Greene, who brought 22 fifth graders to Zuccotti Park yesterday. "This seemed like a beautiful, organic way to show them what a civil rights movement means," she told the Daily News.

Later, eighth graders from Middle School 131 in Chinatown wandered over with their teacher: "We're pretty much videotaping everything, putting it altogether in projects and stuff," one MS 131 student told NY1. There are also college students, some of whom are tackling the big questions: "Is it enough, for example, to simply "Like" "Occupy Wall Street" on its Facebook page, in order to support it?" That's Fulbright material right there!

And if you missed it yesterday, a reminder that kids and OWS go together like peanut butter and marshmallow fluff: children's writer Lemony Snicket (nee Daniel Handler) posted "Thirteen Observations made by Lemony Snicket while watching Occupy Wall Street from a Discreet Distance," and here is a crash course in "How To Explain OWS To A Six-Year-Old."
