The Jets need their wins, and they keep getting winnable games. Though they have needed fourth-quarter comebacks of late, the wins have counted just the same. If they continue to take advantage of their schedule—they have only one remaining opponent (the Giants) with a winning record—they'll make the playoffs. As everyone has seen the last two years, they can be dangerous once they're in the dance.
The Chiefs, fresh off their win over the Bears, visit the Meadowlands today. Their defense is stout—and will likely present a problem for the offensively challenged Jets—but they do not make opponents fear their Tyler Palko-led offense. Kansas City had seven sacks and three interceptions in last week's win, and it will look to cause similar havoc on Sunday.
Shonn Greene, who rushed for a career-high three touchdowns last week, will probably get relied upon again Sunday. The Jets will likely try to keep it simple on offense and win a low-scoring affair. Their remaining games after Sunday: at Philadelphia, home to the Giants and at Miami. They probably need three -- if not four -- wins to make the playoffs. They haven't made things easy for themselves, but they could be on the way to getting in the hard way.
