It seems that Carmelo Anthony's agent Leon Rose was really, truly, absolutely, no-more-BS serious when he said that Anthony would only sign a contract extension with the NY Knicks—today, ESPN reports that the Knicks, Denver Nuggets, and Minnesota Timberwolves are discussing a three-team trade that would bring Anthony here, and finally end what has become the longest game of footsie ever.
In the proposed trade, NY would send bench warmer Anthony Randolph and albatross/overpaid bust Eddy Curry (yup, he's still on the team, allegedly) to Minnesota, the Timberwolves would send Corey Brewer and a first-round pick to Denver, and NY would send Wilson Chandler to Denver. Best of all, the Knicks wouldn't have to give up either Landry Fields or Danilo Gallinari. According to reports, Knicks owner James Dolan has been pressuring team president Donnie Walsh to trade for Anthony before the deadline. It's good to see that despite his generally delusional, masochistic attitude toward running the team, Dolan still does want the Knicks to succeed.
