Investigators are searching for a suspect accused of taking a bag from a car that was parked in the Bronx: the bag happened to contain $20,000 in cash, and the car happened to be unlocked. What are the odds?!
According to the NYPD, the incident occurred around 5:10 p.m. on Friday, July 24: "The victim, a 40-year-old male, left his Ford Explorer unlocked at the corner of Webster Avenue and East 178 Street while he ran into a bodega for a moment. When he returned to his vehicle he noticed that a bag, containing over $20,000, was missing."
The police released images of the suspect as well as the suspect's vehicle, which police believe is a late model Honda Odyssey.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
