Have you seen that "Sh*t Employed Educators Say" video where that teacher asks "Have you had anal sex?" Neither have we. This is apparently why 52-year-old science teacher Bart Ocuto left Sheepshead Bay High School this year. The Daily News reports that in addition to asking a female student about her abstinence-life, Ocuto described the Three Bases system to another student: "tongue and touching…blow job…all the way." Perhaps Ocuto should have been fired for his misreading of the 1974 Hickey Accords: since when was second base oral sex?
Ocuto, who made $73,000 a year before quitting, admitted that he friended students on Facebook and had three students over to his apartment for "service credits." But he denies any impropriety and claims he was pushed out by a "whistleblower" for altering grades and being "an older man making too much money." "I'm a simple man," Ocuto said, "I've never done anything like that in my life. I'm heartbroken over this." Ocuto continues to teach at a private school in the city.
It must have been a (thankfully) slow crime week in the city: we're getting a kick out of imagining seasoned reporter Kerry Burke roaming Sheepshead Bay High muttering "anal sex."
