Last night after 7:30 p.m., a 24-year-old man was shot on Nostrand Avenue near Glenwood in Brooklyn. According to the Daily News, the victim, who was from South Carolina and visiting relatives, was on the cellphone when a" gunman walked up... and shot him in the torso." His cousin said, "I left for a second. When I came back, he was on the floor and bleeding."
The victim died at Kings County Hospital. The cousin says it was probably a mistaken identity shooting, "He didn't know anyone up here. My family wants answers from me, and I simply don't have any."
