One man is dead and another is critically injured following a shooting in Harlem on Wednesday night.
Police arrived to the southwest corner of Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard and West 112th Street around 8 p.m., where they found 23-year-old Muhammad Abdal-Aziz with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and head. He was taken to St. Luke's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A second victim—an unidentified 34-year-old man—had also been shot in the torso, though police said he hailed a taxi to take him to Harlem Hospital. He's listed in critical but stable condition, and an investigation is ongoing.
Detectives told ABC New York that the shooting is believed to be in retaliation for the July murder of a Harlem teen.
