Police are looking for a person they said attacked a man with a baseball bat late Sunday night on the Upper West Side.
According to the NYPD, the 24-year-old victim was near West End Avenue and West 107th Street around 10:35 p.m. when an unknown man struck him multiple times in the face with a baseball bat.
Police said the assailant fled on foot west toward Riverside Park.
The victim suffered facial injuries and was taken by EMS to Mount Sinai Morningside, where he was listed in stable condition, authorities said.
Police described the attacker as about 5'8" with a slim build and a light complexion. He was last seen wearing all black clothing and carrying a black baseball bat, officials said.
The NYPD released surveillance and cellphone images of the suspect, and asked anyone with information to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline.
