The death toll from a deadly e-bike fire continues to rise, police said, after two teenage boys and an adult woman have now died alongside Zion Maine, the boy killed earlier this week in his family’s Bronx apartment.

Fire officials said the battery on an e-bike ignited just before 1 a.m. Wednesday in the kitchen of the family’s 11th-floor apartment. The bike was stored near the front door and blocked the family’s exit.

Maine died at a nearby hospital, city officials said. His father, Courtney Maine, 37, was in stable condition Saturday. The three others hospitalized were Maine’s two sons and his partner Syida Adams, but police did not confirm their identities Saturday.

Tayesha Aiken, 41, has lived in the Patterson Houses, a public housing complex in Mott Haven, for a decade. She said Zion was “loved in the community.”

“Praying and crying is all I’ve been doing,:” she said earlier this week. “I think that’s all we really can do at this point is pray.”

Carol Chen contributed reporting.
