The NYPD has released video of a woman being brutally attacked during an iPhone robbery earlier this month.

According to police, the incident occurred on August 2nd, at around 2:15 in Harlem: A 24-year-old woman was in front of 208 West 138th Street when the male suspect approached her from behind, "threw her to the ground and kicked and punched her. The suspect proceeded to remove her purse and iPhone 5 and then fled westbound on 138 Street toward 8th Avenue."

The victim refused medical attention, but the video shows an intense struggle:

The suspect is described as a black male, with brown eyes and black hair, in his late teen's to early 20's. Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
