The NYPD has released surveillance video of a BMW driver suspected of killing a cyclist in the Bronx Saturday morning.

Police say that Giovanni Nin was riding his bike near the intersection of East Tremont and Mayflower avenues just after midnight Saturday when he attempted to cross the street mid-block and was struck by a silver SUV. The SUV fled the scene, and EMS first responders found Nin dead at the scene.

Nin's family told NBC he had been bicycling to his girlfriend's home when he was struck by the SUV. He had been called to work at 3 a.m. at his job with FedEx, and had been trying to get rest before his shift.

CBS reports that Nin had been saving up for a wedding. “He was a really great kid with a whole future. He was working two jobs, two shifts. He was going back to work for his supervisor that evening and he rode the bike so his girlfriend could stay with the car,” Paul Diaz told the network.

In the newly-released video, a silver BMW X5 SUV with damage to its windshield, hood, and front right bumper can be seen, and the NYPD is requesting the public's help in identifying the driver and vehicle. No arrests have been made in connection with the case, and an investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
