The police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in the East Harlem shooting that injured one man and also hit an MTA bus.
On Monday, April 20th at 5 p.m., police say that the suspect fired a weapon behind 50 East 104th Street, "striking a 31-year-old male in the left heel as well as a MTA bus, striking the back and the rear of the bus."
The victim, Kasheef Queen, 31, was hit in the foot and taken to Weill Cornell Hospital in stable condition. No one on the bus was injured, but WCBS 2 reports, "One woman had to be taken away in an ambulance after falling to the ground, dropping to avoid the bullets." It's unclear if Queen was the target.
Police released a video of the suspect, who is described as wearing a black do-rag, red hooded sweatshirt, black vest, dark colored jeans, and red sneakers. Anyone with information in regards to this missing is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.
