A police officer was arrested in Queens Tuesday on charges of strangulation, menacing and harassment — apparently stemming from a domestic dispute, according to NYPD officials.
Officer Estarlin Rodriguez, 30, was arrested just before 6 p.m. while off duty in the 115th precinct, which covers the northern Queens neighborhoods of Jackson Heights, East Elmhurst and North Corona.
NYPD officials said he was involved in a verbal argument that became physical, but did not have further details.
Court records show Rodriguez was arraigned in Queens Criminal Court Wednesday and released pending his next court date.
His lawyer was not immediately reachable for comment.
Rodriguez is due in court again on June 21.
