A Queens father is searching for answers after his 5-year-old daughter died at a local hospital following an incident at her home Wednesday evening.

Kuldeep Singh, 36, spoke through tears Thursday morning outside the house on 110th Street and 95th Avenue where he said his daughter, Fabiana Ismeralda Cabello Singh, had lived with his ex-girlfriend and other relatives.

“I really don’t know,” he said. “I want to go to the police station.”

Police said the girl’s mother called 911 from the Richmond Hill address just before 7 p.m. and confessed, “I killed my daughter,” she told police.

Police said the girl’s mother called 911 from the Richmond Hill address just before 7 p.m. When officers arrived, they found “Fabi,” as Singh called her, unconscious and unresponsive with blood coming out of her nose, mouth, and bruising on her temple, according to police sources. The officers loaded her into a police car and took her to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in critical condition, officials said.

She was later pronounced dead, and her mother was taken to the local precinct for questioning.

Singh said he raced to the hospital after hearing the news from his daughter’s grandmother, but was unable to see the little girl. He said Fabi’s mother was loving and very involved, and showed reporters several text messages where she and Singh had discussed buying school supplies and other items for her to start kindergarten this year.

Fabi even asked Singh for things herself, he said.

“She always called, ‘Papa, I need a pink bag, I need shoes, I need this, I need this,’” he said, crying.

Singh lamented that his busy schedule as an Uber driver prevented him from spending as much time with the little girl as he wanted, but said she always seemed happy when they were together.

“Two weeks ago she was with me, she eat at the restaurant,” he said. “She kissed me a hundred times.”

Singh was blindsided. He said he was never worried about Fabi’s safety at home with her mother, and added that he never saw evidence of her having any mental health issues.

“She cared [for] her so much,” he said of his ex-girlfriend. “She calls me, she sends me sometimes pictures.”

Police officers came in and out of the two-story house, which was still surrounded by crime scene tape early Thursday. Two family members who went inside for several minutes declined to speak with reporters when they came back out.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will work to determine what caused the child’s death, which police did not immediately rule suspicious.

The NYPD did not make any immediate arrests, and said it was still looking into whether officers had responded to the home for prior domestic incidents.
