Police are hoping the public can help identify a suspect who allegedly assaulted a senior citizen earlier this month at a Queens subway station.

According to the NYPD, the incident occurred on December 10th at 6:30 p.m. at the Roosevelt Avenue subway station. A 68-year-old man got into a verbal dispute with another male subway rider, who then struck the victim in the face. The suspect fled in an unknown direction, and the victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition.

Police describe the suspect as a male in his mid-thirties, approximately 6' tall wearing a waist length jacket and sunglasses.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
