The police confirmed that the body found in the trunk of a car parked on a Bronx street is that of Jordan Johnson, a 24-year-old man who was reported missing.

Jordan Johnson
The car, a 2013 BMW X550 Gran Turismo, belongs to Johnson. It was found at East 211th Street and Tyron Avenue. According to the Bergen Record, "The car, parked near the southern edge of the sprawling Woodlawn Cemetery, was spotted by an automated license plate reader in a city police car and 'pinged' as Johnson’s missing BMW."
Johnson's girlfriend, Megan Faulkner, told authorities that she was supposed to meet Johnson on Tuesday night, after she got an "unusual message from him" to meet in Harlem.
Faulkner told police that she was at home Tuesday night when she received messages from Johnson asking to meet at a specific address in Harlem, [Fort Lee police captain Stanley] Zon said. She went to that address but Johnson wasn’t there, the police captain said. Faulkner described the messages as being “odd,” Zon said, and told police that they “did not seem like” Johnson.
Zon said police have verified that Faulkner received communications from Johnson’s cell phone and are still investigating whether they were text messages, voice messages, or a combination.
When he didn't show up, she went back to their Fort Lee, NJ home and found their apartment ransacked with jewelry and cash missing. Johnson was nowhere to be found. The Fort Lee police say there was no sign of forced entry at their apartment.
The ME's office will determine a cause of death. Police in NYC and NJ are still investigating.
