The Daily News reported today that Citi Bike is expanding to Harlem—which would be great news, if it were true.

According to the tabloid's source, the neighborhood is slated to receive "at least three docking stations" on Frederick Douglass Blvd. at West 115th Street and West 154th Street, as well as one on Lexington Avenue near East 98th Street in East Harlem.

The DOT, however, told us no such plans are in the works. "The proposal is for ordinary bike racks for people to lock their own bikes to, not to install bike share racks," a spokesperson said.

"So the article from the Daily News is inaccurate?" we asked. "Yes," the spokesperson said. Yeah, it's disappointing, but how angry can we really be with the publication that gave us House of Turds?
