Update
: The NY Times reports five teenagers have been charged in the Lower East Side murder of Nicole deFresne; the teens ranged in age from 15-19, and are from Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Staten Island. The shooter appears to be a 19 year-old male. Police Commmissioner Raymond Kelly told reporters, "Some statements [from the suspects] have been made." He also added that tips from "concerned citizens" led to the arrests, but he didn't "want to get into it any more specifically than that."
