A Bronx mom has reportedly confessed to police that her boyfriend beat her 2-month-old baby to death and then two of them dumped the remains in a wooded area in upstate Putnam County.
According to the News, the 31-year-old mom (whose name hasn't been released) told cops that she wasn't present when her 51-year-old boyfriend killed her son in the Bronx on December 10th. The couple then allegedly drove 50+ miles upstate, checked into the Heidi's Inn motel on Route 22, and buried the body in a wooded area near there.
Cops found the baby's body around noon on Saturday. An autopsy will determine the cause of death.
"Oh Jesus. That's horrible," a worker at the motel told the News. "Even if you have the irrational desire to murder a baby, you'd think there'd be something left in your soul that you wouldn't want to carry it around."
The mother apparently told a psychiatrist at New York Presbyterian Hospital about the death on Thursday, and that hospital worker told cops.
Cops confirmed that a man has been taken into custody in the incident and is being questioned. No other details were available.
