Talk about an endorsement for Dropcam! A Midtown resident's apartment Dropcam camera, meant to monitor her cats, actually filmed the guy who stole her stuff on Monday.

According to the NYPD, the incident occurred at 2:20 p.m. on April 13th, somewhere in the Midtown North Precinct: "The suspect entered the victim's apartment through a window and removed an Apple MacBook Pro, an Apple iPad, jewelry and a digital camera." And as you can see in the video, the cats are total cats and don't lift a paw to defend the home:

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
