Getting to this weekend’s Yankees game just got a little easier.
Baseball fans can take advantage of the Metro-North Railroad’s additional “Yankee Clipper” trains to get to and from the stadium this weekend as the Bronx Bombers take on hated rivals the Boston Red Sox at home this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. To accommodate for increased traffic to see baseball’s biggest rivalry, an extra train will depart from New Haven, Connecticut ahead of the game.
Fans will be dropped off at Yankees-East 153rd Street Station where they can enjoy the game without the stress of parking.
The train departs New Haven at 4:47 p.m. on Friday and at 3:10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. An additional New Haven-bound Yankee Clipper train will also deliver baseball fans home with timing dependent on the conclusion of the game.
If you are within the five boroughs, you can take the normal D or 4 trains to 161st Street-Yankee Stadium. B train service is also available on Friday.
Currently, the Yankees lead the American League East with a record of 37-23, while the Sox muddle in fourth place with 30 wins and 34 losses.
Tickets are still available for the matchups starting at $55.
