You know, I can't really get it together to either love or hate our mayor. This morning while getting ready for work I watched him give what I thought was an excellent and quite inspiring speech about the future of downtown. It was borderline inspirational, especially concidering how much trouble he usually seems to have giving speeches. Then I come into work and read about his stupid smoking ban. Of course the Times reports on this egregious government intrusion into people's personal business entirely uncritically and Bloomberg's smug holier-than-thou attitude pisses me off again.
