A 45-year-old man was wounded in a stabbing in Manhattan on Wednesday during a fight that spilled out onto a subway platform, NYPD officials said.
Police received a 911 call at around 10 a.m. for a person stabbed on the L train platform at the Union Square stop, according to the department. Officers who responded to the scene found the man with multiple stab wounds to his back.
He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, authorities said. The alleged stabber fled on an L train wearing a black coat, according to police. Police have not made any arrests in the case yet.
Both men were having a dispute on an L train, which continued on the platform after the train arrived at Union Square, police said. Officials said they’re still investigating what the dispute was about.
