A man riding a moped robbed a 5-year-old boy in the Bronx over the weekend, according to police.
Police said the boy was walking near 2565 Marion Ave. around 4 p.m. on Saturday when the suspect rode up, grabbed a chain from the child's neck and fled north on the moped.
The child was left with redness and swelling and was treated by EMS at the scene, authorities said.
Police asked for the public’s help identifying the suspect, who was last seen wearing a multicolored hat, a black jacket and black jeans.
Anyone with information was urged to contact the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS or submit tips online at crimestoppers.nypdonline.org.
