Renato Seabra, the 21-year-old model accused of castrating and killing gay Portuguese journalist Carlos Castro on January 7 in a Times Square hotel room, pleaded not guilty in court today. But court documents painted a very different picture.
Apparently the fight between Seabra and the 65-year-old Castro was even more graphic than previously reported. Seabra didn't just leave shoe impressions on the dead journalist's face, he also allegedly smashed a computer monitor over Castro's head and pummeled him from all sides. The attack, which also featured a castration via corkscrew, lasted for more than an hour according to Seabra's confession.
Seabra has been quoted as telling police he castrated Castro to rid him of "homosexual demons." After the attack the model showered, put on a suit and left the hotel—he was picked up by police at a hospital not long after.
