Sure, given where the New York Knicks wanted to go with stars like Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire, it made sense they didn't decide to re-sign Jeremy Lin—even though Linsanity made the Knicks lovable again. The Knicks were 18-5, with an undefeated home record, when they met Lin and the Houston Rockets last night—and Lin was triumphant, with 22 points and 8 assists in the 109-106 Rockets victory.

Anthony and Rasheed Wallace were both out for the Knicks, but coach Mike Woodson was blunt, "We didn't play well again. It's just that simple. They played great and we played awful." Lin said, "We're just thankful to get the win. It was a lot of fun playing out there and I think our team, we took a step in the right direction. It was great to be back and it was a lot of fun to play on that court again." As for Tyson Chandler's flagrant foul on him, Lin said, "He hit me hard, I still kept coming, though. It was fun, it was fun, it was friendly. It wasn't malicious. He was like a big brother to me last year." Big brother AND Monopoly fiend.

The crowd at Madison Square Garden cheered him during the introductions...

...but booed during the game—as expected! Lin Tweeted after the game, "Had a fun time back at MSG tonight...lots of great memories!! Thx to all the fans who showed out. All glory to God! pic.twitter.com/TxDo8pIY" And here are some more highlights:
