CC Sabathia didn't have his best night, but Nick Swisher sure did. The Yankees' right fielder hit a go-ahead homer in the top of the eighth to propel the Yankees to a 10-4 win at Wrigley Field. Sabathia lasted seven innings and settled down after allowing four runs. Alex Rodriguez scored three times and had three hits.
Jon Niese did not have his best stuff, and it showed in a 7-3 loss to the Angels. After allowing only five runs in his last 28 innings, he surrendered a run in the first and then a base-loaded triple in the second. In all, he allowed five runs in four innings. Ruben Tejada, who had Saturday off, had two hits, but the rest of the Mets didn't do much. The series loss was their first since late May against the Phillies.
