A.J. Burnett got staked to a four-run lead, but that all went down the tubes in a disastrous sixth inning. It ended up as a 6-5 loss, the Yankees' sixth straight defeat. Burnett gave up five runs, including a pair of two-run homers, in the sixth. The Yankees got five runs off David Price but couldn't make them stand up. Curtis Granderson had another home run -- off a lefty, of course -- but the Yankees have lost six straight for the first time since 2007. Ouch. They finish the two-game set in St. Petersburg on Tuesday.
Before the game, the Mets found out David Wright has a stress fracture in his back. Then they lost, 2-1, in 11 innings to the Marlins. Never good to lose on an RBI single by a relief pitcher. In this case, Blake Badenhop singled home the go-ahead run in the top of the 11th.
