Mets 2 Washington 1 (10 Innings): Perhaps the Mets intend to go out on a high note. Josh Thole sent the crowd home happy with a walk-off home run in the 10th. Pat Misch pitched eight innings allowing only one run and Hisanori Takahashi earned the win in relief. Ike Davis added his 19th homer of the season.
Yankees rained out: The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Saturday. New York did move back into first place thanks to a loss by Tampa.
