Carl Hagelin had a goal and Henrik Lundqvist did the rest as the Rangers took care of the Devils, 2-0. Lundqvist needed to make only 13 saves, and the Rangers only had 14 shots of their own. The 13 shots were the fewest allowed by the Rangers since they allowed 11 to the Calgary Flames in 1981. Yet their offense kept things interesting until Ryan Callahan ended the suspense with an empty-netter just minutes after a Lundqvist save robbed Ilya Kovalchuk. The Devils have now lost three straight after a 9-1-1 stretch, and the Rangers have won two straight and lead the Eastern Conference by nine points.
