Yankees 10 Detroit 6: It wasn't pretty, but the Yankees prevailed in a slugfest. Spotted to a 6-0 lead, thanks to Mark Teixeira's three-run bomb, AJ Burnett was AJ Burnett and suddenly the game was 6-3. But, Russell Martin and A-Rod homered and the bullpen sort of settled down. Mariano Rivera had to come on to get the final out and earn his 2nd save of the year.

Mets 6 Florida 4 (10 Innings) Put it in the books! The Mets overcame a deficit and a blown save by K-Rod to outlast the Marlins. David Wright and Willie Harris had key hits in the tenth to power New York to its first win of the year.

Carolina 4 Islanders 2: The Isles are doing their best to block the Rangers from the playoffs. They beat them the other night and Saturday they fell to their closest pursuers.

Red Bulls 1 Houston 1: Dane Richards scored for the Red Bulls, thank to help from new teammate Dwayne De Rosario (who was traded to the team on Friday), while Cam Weaver scored for Houston.
