If the Knicks didn't beat the Wizards at home, they would have had to start worrying when their losing streak was going to end. New York won, 115-106, to hand Washington its 21st road loss on the season. Amar'e Stoudemire poured in 30 and Raymond Felton had 17 points and 15 assists. The win snapped a six-game losing streak and kept the Knicks from falling to an even .500 record.

The Nets also got an easy foe and squeaked past the Cavaliers, 103-101, at home. Brook Lopez scored with 1.6 seconds to go to give the Nets a win over the lowly Cavaliers, who have lost 17 straight games and haven't won on the road since beating the Nets on Nov. 6.

Martin Biron made 22 saves and then reaped the benefits when Artem Anisimov scored the deciding goal in the shootout of a 2-1 win over the Capitals. Marian Gaborik scored the tying goal in the third period to force the extra session.
