The Yankees saw their other "Cinderella" starter get roughed up in a 7-1 loss in Toronto. Before the break, Bartolo Colon and Freddy Garcia combined to give the Yankees 13 wins and a 3.16 ERA in just over 180 innings of work. After Garcia's five-inning beatdown, they are 0-2 with an ERA of 12.70.
R.A. Dickey wasn't great, but he did enough to keep the Mets in the game. The problem was the New York offense couldn't do anything in their 7-2 loss to Phildelphia. Carlos Beltran had a solo shot and Daniel Murphy had two hits, but New York failed to take advantage of several opportunities.
