Human remains were found on subway tracks in the Bronx on Saturday, the NYPD said.

Police said a human leg was discovered in the path of a northbound 4 train at 167th Street around 1:30 p.m. Authorities transported the leg to the city medical examiner and an investigation was underway to try and determine where, and who, it may have come from.

The NYPD asked that anyone with information about the incident contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS (8477).
