The homeless man who pushed a transgender woman onto the subway tracks earlier this week has been arrested. Rolan Reid, 32, has been charged with attempted murder (as a hate crime), assault 2 (as a hate crime) and assault 3 (as a hate crime) for pushing Daniel Hollister onto the tracks.

According to the Post, as Reid was being arrested Thursday evening, he threatened officers, "I’m going to throw you guys onto the tracks."

The incident happened on Monday morning, when Hollister, 28, who identifies as a woman, was on the southbound 6 platform at the Bleecker/Lafayette Street subway station. Reid allegedly said to her, "What are you looking at?" and then ran to a garbage can where he took out an empty plastic bottle, thew it at the woman, and finally pushed her onto the tracks.

Cops add that Reid has 28 prior arrests, including for throwing a trash can at someone, throwing bricks at a homeless shelter, and knife possession. He has been taken to Bellevue Hospital for evaluation.
