It's that time of year where there's a chill in the air and your friends are all getting poorly thought-out Friday the 13th flash sheet tattoos. Which can only mean that as per recent tradition, Mayor Bill de Blasio is turning Gracie Mansion into a spooooky scary haunted house and giving tickets away to 1,500 lucky...scream-azens. This is a great chance to find out what kind of weird experiments he's been up to behind that big wall Bo Dietl was screaming about this week.
As he has done since 2014, Mayor de Blasio is turning Gracie Mansion in GraSCREAM MANSON, with a variety of kid-friendly Halloween activities like face painting, trick or treating and a spooky walk through the mayoral home. Since this is an event geared more towards kids, you presumably won't be able to get the kind of interactive horror experience where you walk into a room to find terrible godless City Hall scientists working to create an Andrew Cuomo replacement clone who supports a millionaire's tax.
If you want tickets, just fill out this form here or call 311 by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17th, and then wait around to see if you're one of the lucky 1,500 people who gets picked. Said ticket allows you to bring up to four people on the tour with you, but you've got to be accompanied by a child to actually get into the event. Should you win, you can pick one of three dates:
- Friday, October 27th, between 5 p.m. and 7p.m.
- Saturday, October 28th, between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
- Sunday, October 29th, between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m.
