Oh, there's a serious conflict brewing in this weekend's weather forecasts. The National Weather Service has a rarely seen "there are no watches, warnings or advisories at this time" message on their website, but as you can see above AccuWeather is clearly calling for a weather wedgie to happen tomorrow. Meanwhile, in their never-ending quest to get clickthroughs the Weather Channel is enticing their single-digit IQ readers with "Teen Model Hired, Then Fired for THIS". Anyway, today should be excessively pleasant, with sunny, dry skies and a high near the normal of 84 degrees.

Tomorrow's wedgie of dry air is courtesy of a high pressure system over Quebec. For the most part it will the swirly moving up the coast to the east of the city. Unfortunately we'll probably see more clouds than sun on Saturday and there is a slight chance of light rain in the city late Saturday night into early Sunday morning, with heavier rain possible toward the eastern end of Long Island. The coolest weather of the weekend will be on Sunday as a northeast breeze coming off the relatively cool ocean will keep the high to the upper 70s to near 80 degrees.

High pressure is expected to remain in charge early next week and we should see a gradual warming from the low 80s on Monday to the upper 80s on Wednesday and Thursday. The next chance for a significant rainfall won't be until late next week.
